TERMS & CONDITIONS

Shopping with Westwired

These terms explain the basis on which Westwired supplies products and services, including ordering, payment, made-to-order work, delivery, cancellations and returns.

Orders Payment Made to order Delivery Returns

ORDERS & PAYMENT

Placing an order

01

Placing an order

When you place an order through the Westwired website, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your basket at the price displayed at checkout.

An order is only accepted once Westwired confirms it in accordance with the checkout and order-confirmation process.

02

Prices & payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website. Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods made available at checkout.

If a payment is declined or cannot be processed, the order may not be accepted.

03

Product information

Westwired takes reasonable care to describe and photograph each product accurately, including its materials, colour palette and general appearance.

Because pieces are handmade and screens display colour differently, small variations in finish, placement and tone may occur.

If we cannot accept an order, we will not charge you for products that are not supplied.

MADE TO ORDER & BESPOKE

Made for you, with clear terms

01

Standard made-to-order pieces

Most Westwired collection crowns are made after an order is placed rather than held as finished stock. The product page will show the expected production lead time.

A standard collection piece remains the design shown on the website, even though it is individually handcrafted after purchase.

02

Bespoke & personalised work

A bespoke commission or clearly personalised piece is created around details agreed specifically with you, such as design direction, colours, materials, scale or other requested features.

Because personalised work is created to your specifications, different cancellation terms may apply. These will be made clear before the commission is confirmed.

03

Design details & approvals

For bespoke work, Westwired may ask you to confirm key design details before making begins. It is your responsibility to check that the agreed information is correct.

Any later change request may affect price, materials or timing and will only be made where it is practical to do so.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit the rights you have under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to faulty goods or goods that are not as described.

DELIVERY, RISK & OWNERSHIP

From our studio to you

01

Dispatch & delivery

For made-to-order pieces, the production lead time shown on the product page comes before dispatch. Delivery estimates shown at checkout or after dispatch are separate from that making time.

If a specific delivery date or period is agreed with you, Westwired will use that agreed timing as the basis for fulfilment.

02

Delivery details

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Please contact Westwired as soon as possible if you notice an error before your order has been dispatched.

If a parcel is returned because the delivery information supplied was incorrect or delivery could not be completed, reasonable re-delivery costs may apply.

03

Risk & ownership

When Westwired arranges delivery, the goods remain at Westwired’s risk until they come into your physical possession, or the possession of a person you identify to receive them.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once payment has been received in full and the goods have been delivered.

For collection pieces with an approximate two-week production lead time, that estimate relates to making the piece and does not include the carrier’s delivery time after dispatch.

CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & REFUNDS

If you need to return a piece

01

Changing your mind

For standard collection pieces bought online, you may normally cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return them after telling Westwired that you wish to cancel.

This cancellation right applies to standard made-to-order collection pieces unless the item has been made to your individual specification or otherwise clearly personalised.

02

Bespoke & personalised pieces

The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised for you.

That does not affect your rights if a bespoke or personalised piece is faulty, not as described, or otherwise fails to meet the standards required by consumer law.

03

Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described, or you receive the wrong item, contact Westwired as soon as reasonably possible so the issue can be assessed and resolved.

Your statutory rights are not limited by these terms, including rights to an appropriate remedy where goods do not conform to the contract.

For an eligible change-of-mind return, please contact Westwired before sending the piece back. Refunds are made in accordance with applicable consumer law, including the rules on timing and standard delivery costs.

RESPONSIBILITY & THE LAW

Fair terms, clear responsibilities

01

Care, use & responsibility

Please use and care for your Westwired piece in accordance with the care guidance provided. After delivery, damage caused by misuse, unsuitable storage, unauthorised alteration or failure to follow reasonable care instructions may not be Westwired’s responsibility.

This does not affect your rights where a product was faulty, unsafe or not as described when supplied.

02

Events outside our control

If an unexpected event outside Westwired’s reasonable control affects production or delivery, we will contact you, take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and explain what this means for your order.

This does not remove any rights you may have if performance is significantly delayed or the contract cannot reasonably be completed.

03

Consumer rights & applicable law

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that consumer law says cannot be excluded. The terms are intended to be read alongside those statutory protections.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you because of where you live remain unaffected.

These terms are intended to be fair and transparent. If any individual provision is found not to be enforceable, the remaining provisions should continue to apply so far as the law allows.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THESE TERMS

Need clarification?

If you have a question about these terms, an order you have placed, or how a particular term applies, please contact Westwired before making a purchase or as soon as possible afterwards.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The terms that apply to an order are the version in effect when that order is placed.
