ACCESSIBILITY

A website made to be easier to use

Westwired aims to make its website clear, usable and accessible to as many people as reasonably possible. This page explains the approach we take and how to contact us if something gets in the way.

BROWSING & READABILITY

Designed to be clear

01

Clear structure & navigation

Westwired aims to keep pages logically structured, with clear headings, consistent navigation and straightforward labels so it is easier to understand where you are and where to go next.

We also aim to avoid relying on decorative styling alone to communicate important information.

02

Readable text & contrast

The site uses a restrained colour palette and aims to maintain clear contrast between text and its background, while keeping body copy at a comfortable reading size.

Pages should remain usable when text is enlarged or the browser zoom level is increased.

03

Keyboard access & focus

Where possible, interactive controls such as links, buttons and form fields are intended to remain usable without relying on a mouse or trackpad.

Visible focus states and a logical tab order should help make keyboard navigation easier to follow.

Accessibility is an ongoing part of maintaining the site. If something is difficult to read, navigate or operate, we want to know so it can be reviewed.

IMAGES, FORMS & INTERACTION

Content that works in more ways

01

Images & alternative text

Where an image communicates useful information, Westwired aims to provide meaningful alternative text or an equivalent text description so the content is not dependent on sight alone.

Purely decorative images should not add unnecessary noise for people using screen readers.

02

Forms & helpful feedback

Forms are intended to use clear labels and understandable instructions. Where something has been missed or entered incorrectly, error messages should explain what needs attention.

Important information should not rely only on colour, position or visual styling to make sense.

03

Motion & visual effects

The site may use subtle movement or visual effects as part of the Westwired aesthetic, but these should not prevent customers from reading, navigating or completing key tasks.

Where movement could be distracting, the design should respect relevant device or browser preferences where practical.

As new products, photographs, forms or interactive features are added, accessibility should be considered as part of the update rather than treated as a separate afterthought.

REVIEW & FEEDBACK

Improving the experience

01

Ongoing review

Westwired aims to review accessibility as the website develops, particularly when new pages, products, forms or interactive features are introduced.

This statement does not claim that every part of the site has been independently audited or formally certified to a particular accessibility standard.

02

Third-party content

Some parts of the website may rely on third-party services, apps or embedded features that Westwired does not fully control.

Where an accessibility issue relates to a third-party service, Westwired will still try to identify a practical alternative or raise the issue with the relevant provider where possible.

03

Tell us about a problem

If you find something difficult to access, understand or use, please contact Westwired and describe the page, feature or task causing the problem.

Helpful details such as your device, browser or assistive technology can make it easier to investigate and improve the experience.

If a suitable accessible version of information is needed, Westwired will try to provide the same information in another reasonable format where practical.

ACCESSIBILITY FEEDBACK

Tell us what would help

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Westwired website, please contact us and tell us what you were trying to do, where the problem occurred and what would make the experience easier.

We will review accessibility feedback in good faith and, where practical, look for a suitable way to provide the information or service you need.
